Traditional Mexican Weaving

In this workshop you will learn to prepare the loom, get to know its parts and weave colorful textiles and designs on century-old looms. The student will design works on a weaving loom, applying different techniques that make up the traditional weaving; and learn to appreciate the aesthetic importance of Mexican folk art. The students will use different widths of loom, back-combing, hand-spinning and the use of lighteners to wrap the material. The material used is 100% natural wool.
