RODARTE
SOWING ART, TRANSFORMING LIVES

RODARTE is much more than an art education program; it's a ray of light in the lives of children in isolated rural communities of San Miguel de Allende. At Instituto Allende, we've nurtured artistic development and creativity in hearts seeking expression for over 8 years.

Each Saturday workshop is an experience filled with creativity, a palette of colors that paints smiles and dreams in rural primary schools. In collaboration with Instituto Allende, we've developed over 360 art workshops that carry stories of inspiration and growth, providing a safe haven for imagination and talent to flourish.

RODARTE is a program where the magic of art finds its home in the hearts of the little ones and transforms lives.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

RODARTE aims to foster creativity and critical thinking, alongside knowledge and skills that enable children to identify and solve problems related to the creation, analysis, evaluation, and handling of images, especially those of an artistic nature. It also aims to teach and ensure the transmission of attitudes, knowledge, skills, and values involved in the process.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Specifically, RODARTE 's goals are to help children in these ways:

1. Improve the quality of life of students and their parents.
2. Provide a high-quality arts education program.
3. Develop fine motor skills and psychomotor control.
4. Use varied techniques to develop tactile and visual textures of varying complexity, leading children to discover new possibilities of expression.
5. Pay attention to reading, science and mathematics, when relevant.
6. Help children recover from negative experiences in their lives through artistic expression, with the help of a staff psychologist.
7. Highlight the value of education for the future of children.

FUNDRAISING/DONATIONS

We raise money for RODARTE through fairs and bazaars that support local and national Mexican artisans, designers, and entrepreneurs, creating a welcoming and safe space for artistic trade at reasonable prices. The funds we collect are handled with transparency and honesty: one hundred percent of what we raise is used to carry out RODARTE's operations. These expenses include teacher and assistant salaries, gasoline for transportation, and art materials. We donate the use of our vehicles.

We believe that art is a means to reflect, transform, and develop the human spirit. Art reinvents the world and celebrates life and freedom.
