Lifelong Learning Program | Instituto Allende

The Instituto Allende Cultural Center offers the Lifelong Learning Program, designed with the objective of providing residents and visitors of San Miguel de Allende with a unique experience of self-enrichment and intellectual stimulation.

We welcome you to our website where you can see our course offerings for January-March 2025 and register for classes. We have a wonderfully diverse selection for you. You can study everything from Artificial Intelligence to the history of Western music! We have some of your favorite instructors returning as well as new instructors we think will become new favorites.

HOW TO REGISTER

For health reasons, we limit attendance in our classes to 45 students. Many classes fill up fast. Therefore, utilizing online registration is the best way to ensure students get the courses they want.

Online registration, with PayPal. To pay with PayPal, you will need a PayPal account, which allows you to choose to pay directly from your bank or with a credit card. If you have any problems using PayPal, please contact our office: recepcion@instituto-allende.edu.mx
In person registration can be done at the reception office of Instituto Allende, at Ancha de San Antonio #22. Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

NOTE: The email address linked to your PayPal account is the only one we will have. If you use a different email account, we will not be able to communicate with you if there are any changes you need to know about. If you use another email address to receive your email, forward it to: recepcion@instituto-allende.edu.mx. This is important because we need an email address you check daily to send you handouts for classes or other class-related information.

BEFORE REGISTERING, PLEASE READ AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING HEALTH POLICIES:

The health of our instructors, students, and staff is our top priority. At this point, we will not require the use of masks, although students may do so if they wish. We will continue to regularly clean the classroom to ensure a sanitary environment. We are limiting the size of our classes to 45 to maintain a reasonable distance between students. We reserve the right to change our policy regarding masks and class size if Covid or any other health threat emerges again before the opening of courses in January 2025.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

Due to a complicated Mexican tax system, cash refunds cannot be issued.

If WE are forced to cancel a course, you will be entitled to a substitute course at any price to be used within a year. Alternatively, the course fee can be donated to the Lifelong Learning Program as a contribution.
If YOU are forced to cancel your participation in a course for which you have registered, you may request a certificate for a substitute course of equal or lesser value, valid for one year from the cancellation date for you or the person you designate. Alternatively, the course fee can be donated to the Lifelong Learning Program as a contribution. You must cancel five business days or more before the first class so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. Later cancellations will not be accepted.

The Lifelong Learning Program does not make a profit. Any excess revenues are used for scholarships for low-income art students at The Instituto Allende.
