Live Model Drawing

This three-week program of a total of 27 class hours is dedicated to the artistic representation of the human body in all its diversity.

During the sessions, beginner and intermediate students will learn about proportion, perspective and movement of the human body, based on bone and muscle structure to achieve a good representation through drawing.

Observation will be honed by sketching live models. You will work with different illuminations on the model to distinguish the tonal values that make up the volume. You will represent the human figure through the gestural and expressive charcoal stains, in addition to achieving a stroke of greater confidence.

You will enjoy the challenges of drawing through a dynamic process in an environment of collective learning and reflection.

The Human Figure Drawing workshop includes ten hours of live modeling. Materials are not included in the tuition cost. Approximate materials costs should be about $20.00 to $30.00 USD for an intermediate quality.

This workshop has specific start and end dates, listed below. It is not possible to join the course after the start date.

To reserve the date you would like to study, we require a deposit that is applied to your final tuition. Tuition must be paid in full by the first day of class. You can make a deposit or pay in full on our website via PayPal, or in our main office. After your payment we will send you an email to confirm your purchase and the dates of your studies.

SCHEDULE FOR 2024
April 15th to 30th, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 3 to 6:30 pm for the first two weeks, and classes for the last week from 3 to 6 pm.
May 13th to 29th, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 3 to 6 pm.
July 15th to 31st, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 3 to 6 pm.
