Oil Painting

The Oil Painting workshop, taught by Maestro Alejandro Torres, graduate of the Instituto Allende is a four-week program for a total of 36 hours. This program is designed for beginners and intermediate students. You will learn how to use oil paints at a high level and understand the logic of light, structure, color, volume and composition as basic elements for the creation of an oil painting.

This workshop will reinforce your skills in drawing by practicing quick sketches with monochromatic tones and studying the depth of an object, light and shadows, and with colors, At the end of the workshop the student will have a completed figurative oil painting and reinforce visual skills for drawing and spatial composition.

To reserve the date you would like to study, we require a deposit that is applied to your final tuition. Tuition must be paid in full by the first day of class. You can make a deposit or pay in full on our website via PayPal, or in our main office. After your payment we will send you an email to confirm your purchase and the dates of your studies.

Materials are not included in the tuition cost. Approximate materials costs should be about $30 to $50 USD for an intermediate quality.
